Spirits is a general term for distilled alcoholic drinks with a higher alcohol content. They are made by distilling ingredients such as grains, fruit or botanicals. Common categories include whisky, gin, vodka, brandy, rum, tequila and baijiu. Each spirit has its own ingredients, origin and production method, creating a distinctive flavour and drinking experience
