Established in 1912 in Isehara City, Kanagawa, Kikkawa Jozo is nestled near Tokyo and shares roots with the famous anime "Slam Dunk." The brewery is by Tanzawa Oyama, historically "Afuri-yama" for its rain, a revered rain worship site with Oyama-Afuri Shrine, known as the "God of Sake."
